Also known as “winter scorzone” being very similar in both appearance and flavour to the summer truffle. Its slightly marked scent recalls the scent of the land where it is harvested: predominantly clayey and humus-rich soils in cool and humid mountainous areas. It has a black-coloured warty peridium and a chocolate-colored pulp with white veins.
Harvest period: from 1st October to 31st December.
