This species is outwardly similar to the Precious Black Truffle from which it is distinguished by the greyish tones and evident veins, The truffle physical appearance has a slightly wrinkled surface of black color with little evident warts.
Collection period: from January 1 to 15 March.
Use:for the strong taste is appreciated especially by those who love strong flavors. Consumed mainly raw in salads to enrich them with a spicy note. Also suitable to undergo a cooking for recipes of meat dishes.
